Stefanie is a fellow photographer in San Diego. I was honored to have her ask me to do her family photos. Her twin 2 yr old boys and little 1 yr old were a handful. They were a lot of fun and naturals in front of the camera. You can tell mom has these boys trained to smile on cue. - This one is just funny.

I am sure cramming three or more people on a motorcycle looks surprising, but, surprisingly, my surprise began to subside after just a few days. I think the MOST I saw on a motorcycle was 6 people... a mom and dad and 4 kids squnched in between. I never got a great shot of that...

...as I was walking around Jogjakarta, I did find this young mom and her two kids off on their daily errands.

I love this family portrait. It makes me think of something from the FSA book, with the collection of photos commissioned to record America's cultural and economic conditions during the Great Depression.

The result, the book entitled The American Vision is one of the most extraordinary collection of documentary style photography available.

This family somehow seems it could take a place in that book as a sodbuster, or itinerant worker family of the era.

One little oddity you can see is the little playboy bunny in the top left corner. This is commonly seen sewn on shirts or polos. Most people have no clue abut its other connection and just see it as a cute little rabbit.
