Buick Buick Serie 64 C von 1930 Kühlerfigur - Buick Hood Ornament (Isadora Duncan)

Buick's Goddess of Speed ornaments of the early 1930s were reportedly
based on the famous dancer Isadora Duncan. In an ironic variation of the
"suicide door" reputation of many early cars, Duncan was killed in 1927
when her blowing scarf became entangled in the rear axle of the car in
which she was riding and strangled her.

The ornaments were created by Casimer Cislo, who did work for Ternstedt
Mfg. Co., a former Fisher Body Works subsidiary that designed such objects
as door handles, trim pieces and gas caps. Quelle: www.flickr.com/photos/24150334@N08/4306696594/
