Question by Slushie: What kind of horror writing project should I start?

I want to do a horror writing project, where I can't quit writing ( I do this often ).
I want to go near the demon, spiritual kind of horror.
I can figure out the characters, I just need a base story line.
Any suggestions?

Maybe a someone manipulated into becoming a monster/demon by someone else. Without being at fault at the horrible crimes he/she might commit. But with the manipulator being quite smart and omniscient.
