These are the ruins ancient Roman forum at about midnight. You can see the colosseum and the full moon in the distance. Between the 3 exposures, the moon actually moved a few pixels, thus the slight and strange moon-blur...

The ancient shipyard in Alanya, Turkey
The shipyard, consisting of five docks and constructed in 1226 by the Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat, is 56 metres long and 44 metres deep and is the only remaining shipyard from the Seljuks. The entrance to the shipyard is behind the Red Tower. The shipyard also contains offices and a little mosque located on the left of the entrance.
At night all these buildings are illuminated creating a fantastic sight.
The shipyard can be visited at closer quarters by renting a small fishing boat.

This shot has been EXPLORE #1 on March 5, 2007. Thank you all!! :)

View of a street on the ancient district of Girona, in Catalonia (Spain). Best viewed large.

Before uploading precedent shot I had two candidates, same place, same treatment... I finally decided for that one. But given the broad acceptance it received, I finally have decided to show you the other one. I hope you like it too!

If you like this shot, please consider viewing some of my most interesting shots according to Flickr!
